Launching Phase 2 - banners for schools

On Wednesday 9th october several Queanbeyan School representatives gathered at the Bicentenial Hall to support the launch of Phase 2 of the "40k for Kids" road safety program.

The first phase arranged for a banner to be placed on the Queanbeyan City Councils banner display over Bungendore Road near the Queens Bridge to remind all passing drivers that the 40k school zones were active again.

The second phase provides banners to each of Queanbeyan's schools to carry the message to drivers in the zones around the schools. 

The Queabeyan Road Safety Group would like to thank the NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust for their support from their road safetygrants program, the Queanbeyan City Council for their ongoing support and the Queanbeyan Schools who have so enthusiastically embraced the program!
